What the site is

PortableAirConditioner.uk publishes guides, calculators, a product comparison and a few games about portable air conditioners in the UK. We are not a shop. We do not sell products or take payments, and any purchase is a contract between you and the retailer.

Information, not advice

Everything on the site is general information. Calculators and meters give estimates. Nothing here is professional electrical, installation, health or legal advice. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for any product, and use a qualified person where the job needs one.

Prices, specifications and picks

Product details come from UK retailer and manufacturer listings and are correct only as of the date shown on the page. Prices, stock and specifications change, so check the retailer before you buy. Our picks follow stated rules based on specifications. They are not laboratory tests and they are not a guarantee that a product suits you. If you spot an error, please tell us.

Sound meter and calculators

The online sound meter uses your device's microphone and is not a calibrated instrument. Do not use it for legal, workplace or safety noise assessments. The BTU and running cost calculators depend on the numbers you enter and on the assumptions we state; real results will differ.

Adverts and links to other sites

Some pages show adverts, which are kept separate from our own content. Links to retailers, manufacturers and other sites are for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

Using the site

Please use the site lawfully and do not try to disrupt it, overload it or collect its content in bulk by automated means. The text, design, illustrations and software are ours or used with permission. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page, but please ask before copying or republishing more. Product names, logos and images belong to their owners.
